18 October 2017, 9:00AM - 11:30AM, GMT

KPMG in the Isle of Man held a Brexit Forum on Wednesday 18 October at the Palace Hotel.

We invited Mark Essex from KPMG in the UK’s Brexit team who gave an overall view of the Brexit
procedure and the issues facing UK businesses. We also explored the specific opportunities and threats for the Isle of Man and our Customs specialist spoke about the potential changes in relation to VAT and Customs.

A panel session was conducted and moderated by KPMG in the Isle of Man’s Director Simon Nicholas, providing some lively debate.

The panel featured:
-       Carl Hawker, Deputy Chief Executive, Department for Enterprise.
-       Sandra Skuszka, Head of VAT, KPMG in the Isle of Man.
-       Mark Essex, Director of Public Policy, KPMG in the UK.
-       Professor St. John Bates.
