KPMG Isle of Man has announced a grand total of £20,420 was raised for its chosen charity in 2018/19, Monitors 4 Kids, a parent led campaign of the Manx Diabetic Group, an Isle of Man registered charity, whose primary role is to help all Type 1 & Type 2 diabetics on the Isle of Man and ensure they receive the best care and treatment possible.
The Manx Diabetic Group is raising money and awareness for Monitors4Kids, a parent-led campaign with the aim of raising money to end finger-prick blood testing in children, with newer, painless technology. The money raised will be used to provide children in the Isle of Man with sensors, which will enable monitoring of blood sugar levels on a mobile phone or handset – and alerts parents when levels dip dangerously low.
