The R&D tax credit is a tax-based incentive that encourages investment in R&D by companies in Ireland.
Accounting for R&D tax credits.
Revenue recently published updated guidelines for the R&D tax credit, superseding the April 2015 guidelines. KPMG’s R&D Incentives Practice welcomes many of the key updates to and clarifications of Revenue’s position, many of which we have actively called for. However, we believe other areas remain ambiguous and will be seeking further clarification from Revenue and monitoring the application of the new guidance in practice.
We have prepared an information flyer with an overview of the changes made by the new guidelines and our analysis of how they will work in practice. We will update our clients individually to ensure their claims are prepared in line with the new guidance.
