We are delighted to announce our title sponsorship of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open for the next three years. Our support helps ensure the long overdue return of the tournament after a 10-year break and as long-term supporters of both women’s sport and golf in Ireland, we are very proud to bring it back to its rightful place on the sporting calendar.
The tournament, which is returning to the Ladies European Tour (“LET”) schedule, will take place at the fabulous Dromoland Castle course in Co. Clare from Thursday, 22 to Sunday, 25 September 2022. Our 3-year agreement supports our long-term commitment to the development, advancement, and empowerment of women’s sport in Ireland.
This announcement builds on our previous support of the 20x20 campaign and its aims of promoting women in sport. It complements our ongoing sponsorship of Irish golfer Leona Maguire, Irish jockey Rachael Blackmore and the Dublin Ladies Gaelic football team and reinforces our ambition to help create #LevelGround between men and women’s sport in Ireland.

KPMG & golf
In addition to our support of women’s sport in Ireland, KPMG also works to help inspire greatness amongst golfers at both the grassroots and in the professional game.
KPMG has a long and proud heritage in the game of golf, both in Ireland and abroad, having been title sponsor of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship since 2015, one of five majors in the women’s golf which took place in late June in Maryland, USA. The tournament had a total purse of $9 million, a 300% increase on the total purse prior to KPMG’s sponsorship of the event, with the winner receiving $1.35 million.
In Ireland, we are also the title sponsor of the Irish Kids Golf Tour, which is open to girls and boys aged 6 to 13 years old and features some of the best young golfers in Ireland.
Irish professional golfer, Leona Maguire, has been a KPMG ambassador since she turned professional in 2018 and we are committed to supporting her as she progresses to the next stages of her career.
