We know that senior decision makers understand the importance of tax. We also know that you need clear insights and actionable strategies to help you develop the best tax approach for your business, especially when tax issues are changing at such a rapid rate both in Ireland and globally and we are facing into possible fundamental movements to the bases of taxation.
We have created the Tax Leadership Series – a programme for decision makers that explores the most recent developments in the world of tax and why they matter, not just for your business today but critically, how they will impact on your business tomorrow.
We were joined by our colleague Jesse Eggert for this session. Jesse Eggert, who is based in KPMG’s Washington National Tax Practice, is leading KPMG’s global response on Pillar 2. Prior to joining KPMG, Jesse was a Senior Advisor on the BEPS project with the OECD.
In this session, we looked at the OECD Blueprints on Pillar 1 and Pillar 2, with a particular focus on International businesses with significant operations in Ireland. While BEPS 2.0 might have its roots in addressing “the challenges arising from the digitalisation of the economy”, it will affect groups operating in a wide range of sectors far beyond the digital economy.

We were delighted to be joined by Brad Brown, KPMG’s Global Head of Tax Technology & Innovation for our Tax Transformation and Technology session. Brad works closely with the senior tax and technology leadership of Fortune 500 and middle market clients on process and technology projects.
In this session, we looked at how tax authorities and governments are leveraging tax data, how this trend is likely to accelerate following the COVID-19 pandemic and what it means for Irish business. We also discussed the operational efficiencies and improved decision making that can be delivered by embedding technology into tax functions and how your business can make the most of the transformation opportunities.
