Terms & conditions

  1. The promoter is KPMG Ireland
  2. The competition is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
  3. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  4. Individuals may only nominate one Reading Hero for the duration of the competition.
  5. Closing date for entry is Friday 30 April 2021.
  6. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  7. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice or in the event of any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control.
  8. The prizes are as follows: The KPMG Reading Hero will receive a €200 / £180 book voucher and their school will receive €1000/£900 book token and a set of the books shortlisted for the KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards. There will be five runner up prizes of €100 /£90 book tokens for each nominated runner up.
  9. The prize is as stated and no alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value.
  10. Winners will be chosen from all entries received and by panel of judges appointed by KPMG
  11. The winners will be notified by email to the nominees email address and by publication on this website. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 7 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  12. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  13. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Irish law.
  14. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  15. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  16. KPMG shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage. KPMG also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
