Remembering the late Denis O'Connor, former Managing Partner of KPMG Ireland
KPMG Ireland established the Denis O’Connor Walking Festival to commemorate our late Managing Partner and raise much-needed funds for a range of good causes.
In 2019, over 100 KPMG people, alumni, family and friends participated in the annual walking festival with Temple Street Foundation being the much deserving beneficiary. The group set off to do the Howth Cliff Walk and raised a grand total of €30,000.
Every single day, hundreds of sick children and their worried families come through the doors of Temple Street in need of world-class medical care. The funds raised ensure that these children have access to the very best paediatric equipment, facilities and supports when they need it most.
The money raised by the 2019 Denis O'Connor Walk will provide equipment for children with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities - such as sensory boxes, pop-up blackout tents, iPads and a Cubbie Booth. Learn more about their great work here.
Between 2007 and 2018, we helped raise over €590,000 for the South Dublin Junior Arch Club (2007), the Hospice Foundation (2008), Focus Ireland (2009), Foundation Nepal and the Motor Neuron Disease Association (2010), Jack and Jill Foundation (2011), the Irish Cancer Society Daffodil Centre in the Mater Hospital (2012), Crumlin Children’s Hospital Cardiac Unit (2013), Merchants Quay Ireland (2014), Debra Ireland (2015), Aware (2016), ARC Cancer Support (2017), and Pieta House (2018).
