Eric is Head of Regulatory Banking at KPMG Ireland, responsible for informing and supporting Irish banks on regulatory related topics and for relations with the local and European regulators (incl. ECB, EBA, SRB and EC). Eric was previously Managing Director at KPMG UK in Deal Advisory Banking and at the KPMG ECB Office in Frankfurt, where he is responsible for non-performing exposures (NPEs) and bank recovery and resolutions topics.
Eric has over 17 years’ experience advising regulators, stakeholders and banks across 25 countries. He is Senior Adviser on NPLs to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) since 2015. He also recently led a project with the European Banking Authority (EBA) for the preparation of the new standardised NPL data reporting templates and instructions to banks to support NPL sales. He was also contributor / observer to the Expert Group on NPLs of the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) in 2016.
