Jackielee Urrutia-Tinca is a Cum Laude graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Science in Accountancy from the Far Eastern University Manila, Philippines. Jackielee Urrutia passed the board examination and became a Certified Public Accountant with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2004. That same year, Jackielee also became the National Champion in the Auditing Theory and Problems Quiz Bowl held by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (NFJPIA). Since then, Jackielee‘s career experience has come to span the Philippines, the Channel Islands, Australia, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar where she has engaged a number of multinational clients and subsidiaries, cultivating a specialty in investment funds, banking, insurance, life assurance, online payment service providers and e-gaming. Jackielee has also lead the audits and advisory work for various companies in different industries such as manufacturing, telecommunication, agriculture, real estate, shipping, aviation, hospital and automotive.
Jackielee is the lead audit senior manager for our life assurance, funds, e-gaming and insurance practice with a focus on both audit and advisory engagements, largely consisting of external audit , accounting and advisory engagements for KPMG’s insurance and clients and local subsidiaries of large European/UK life assurers. Jackielee currently works with clients across Gibraltar, the Isle of Man and the UK.
Jackielee leads our training committee in the Gibraltar office and is also an elected audit faculty member of the Gibraltar Society of Accountants.
Whilst in Australia, Jackielee lead the KPMG Financial services team and as such manages a range of engagements in respect of external and internal audit, accounting, advisory, regulatory and compliance engagements. Jackielee worked closely with the Board of Trustees, investment managers, key stakeholders and regulators. She has also been involved in several workshops assisting regulated clients achieve alignment with the relevant standards by performing gap analysis between existing processes and procedures, prudential standards, industry best practices and current trends.
Whilst in the Channel Islands, Jackielee managed a broad range of listed and unlisted clients in the financial services industry specialising in investment funds, private equity and corporate service providers.
Whilst in the Philippines, Jackielee lead the audit, accounting and advisory engagements of public and quasi-public companies, including local and multinational companies in different industries. Jackielee was also involved in an acquisition due diligence engagement for a public company where she was responsible for assessing the operation from a financial, process and efficiency perspective, including assessing how the new business could be integrated. Jackielee has also Identified fraudulent accounting transactions in her audit and advisory engagements and provided recommendations that led to the improvement in client’s corporate governance, internal controls and accounting policies and procedures.
