Last 3 months Nordic and Finnish Buyout and VC deal activity compared to preceding 3 months

PE Data Snapshot, October

Deal activity

  • Deal volume in the Nordic PE market picked up clearly again in September, reaching a level exceeding the rolling 12 months average monthly deal figure of 160 deals. However, despite the risen deal volume in September, the rolling 3 month figure depicts a decline as the July and August figures were rather low and June included in the comparison period reached by far the highest deal count for this year.
  • The volume rise in September was especially strong in the Finnish and Swedish markets, as Finland more than doubled the deal count in September compared to August and Sweden recorded the second highest amount of deals for this year. Deals in the Norwegian and Danish markets remained close to the August levels.
