Aiheeseen liittyvää sisältöä

Finland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden, arranging the Nordic Pavilion for the third year a row, are now welcoming Iceland for the first time. The pavilion is set up primarily for Nordic cities and companies. The three-day program for exhibitors, partners and clients aim to strengthen the Nordic brand and leadership within technology and sustainability, as well as the unified impact on global markets. In the pavilion there will be exhibition stands, meeting space and inspiring presentations.

Business Finland, CLEAN, Cleantech Scandinavia and Innovation Norway are providing an opportunity for companies, cities and regions to showcase their smart solutions as part of the Nordic pavilion. KPMG Finland’s role is to, on behalf of Business Finland, coordinate the Finnish delegation, including organizing the Finnish exhibitors.

Interesting 3 day program in the Nordic Pavilion

The Nordic co-operation on the Expo started during the years 2015-2016 when Denmark and Finland had their country pavilions next to each other at the Barcelona expo. They arranged shared programs and matchmaking events. This positive experience and feedback seeded the idea of a common Nordic Pavilion. In 2017, four of the Nordic countries exhibited the best solutions of Nordic companies and cities of all sizes.

Companies including start-ups, SMEs and large corporates, are exhibiting their solutions for smart and sustainable cities. The solutions can be services or products that are ready for global markets and to ease the export, the Nordic Pavilion has a tight three-day program for matchmaking and business buzz.

The Nordic smart city co-operation attracts attention

In 2019 the Nordic Pavilion has also attracted investors and the companies have a chance to pitch their offerings to the investors, cities and other interested participants. Additionally, cities are provided a chance to present their challenges on the development path towards becoming a smart city. This happens in a facilitated roundtable discussion to search for innovative solutions and skilled professionals.
