The company wanted to achieve cost savings by reducing the number of FTEs working with repetitive processes, as well as focusing on how future processes could be modelled for automation from the start.
The KPMG NewTech team assisted with developing a PoC on a single process and preparing a business case to assess the overall financial and organisational potential and mobilisation of the organisation. This was achieved by training of personnel for analysis, development and process control.
In cooperation with the client, a sustainable operating model with standardised processes for both organisational and technical scaling was created.
The engagement resulted in full automation and production of the PoC process. More than 15 employees across the Nordic region were trained in the development and management of robots.
A total of 10 processes were automated and prepared for production, ready to create value as soon as the infrastructure was fully implemented.
The reason for the use of robotics as well as the potential benefits were communicated across the business and were well accepted at all levels.
