With more than two decades of experience from strategic, commercial and operational leadership positions, Morten Mønster, top advisor for the Danish business community, has today been appointed as Senior Partner and CEO of KPMG in Denmark. It is thus a highly experienced leader with significant results and deep knowledge of the market for accounting and advisory services who has been unanimously appointed by the Board of Directors and Partners to head KPMG in Denmark.

During the last seven years, Morten Mønster has been part of the day-to-day management of KPMG and most recently he has contributed to rebuilding and heading KPMG’s Advisory business as Managing Partner, Head of Advisory. Prior to joining KPMG, Morten served as industry leader for IBM in the Nordics, Partner and Leader of the energy sector across Audit, Advisory and Tax in PwC and Deloitte in Norway. In addition, Morten was managing director of an international energy product and service company.

It is therefore a highly experienced leader with a unique combination of solid strategic insight and in-depth knowledge of the implementation of complex organisational transformations who now takes over the role of Senior Partner. All these capabilities have been developed from living and working in Norway, Germany, Sweden, USA – and most recently from the last seven years in Denmark, where Morten has contributed to rebuilding the new KPMG in Denmark.

Together with the company's Leadership team, Morten Mønster will now build on and further develop the work that has ensured KPMG its strong growth during the last years and which made it possible to reach one billion in revenue in 2020.

Morten Mønster will take office as Senior Partner and CEO on 16 August 2021. After this date, he will have the opportunity to elaborate on his perspectives on KPMG’s vision, further development and ambitions.
