Entering into a five-year agreement, KPMG and Microsoft are strengthening their global alliance to promote the digital transformation for the KPMG member firms and shared clients. The new solutions are based on Microsoft's cloud and AI technologies and aim to improve clients' decision-making capabilities as well as increase productivity.
As part of KPMG's resolution to invest heavily in technology and innovation, KPMG has launched a major modernisation process using Microsoft 365's cloud-based collaboration and productivity tools, including the communications and collaboration platform Microsoft Teams. As part of the new collaboration, KPMG will also from now on use Microsoft Azure and Azure AI as the cornerstone of a new joint global cloud-based platform that is to strengthen KPMG's offering of digital services with new innovative solutions in cloud-based auditing capabilities, tax solutions and risk management. Clients in all sectors, including highly regulated industries, will benefit from globally consistent and continuous service deliveries, enabling a higher deployment rate, while adhering to industry-leading standards of compliance and security.
New data protection laws, exchange rate fluctuations and geopolitical tensions increase complexity and require greater responsiveness to systems and tools.
Through the shared global cloud platform, KPMG will create a set of cloud-based capabilities ranging from hosting infrastructure based on Microsoft Azure to more than 50 advanced solutions such as AI, cyber and software robots for process automation (RPA). Also, KPMG will provide its global workforce of over 207,000 employees in 153 countries with Microsoft 365, including Teams, to better meet client needs through increased collaboration, improved productivity and data-driven knowledge. Furthermore, more than 30,000 KPMG employees in 17 member companies have been equipped with Dynamics 365, a range of powerful client relationship applications.
The strong portfolio of services resulting from the KPMG-Microsoft alliance can help address these challenges faster by designing on-demand applications, automating manual processes and continuously analysing data to minimise the risk of errors and increase the capability of smart decision-making. These new solutions will therefore have crucial impact on business.
