We are proud to announce the promotions of our new partners Jenny Blomberg, Holger Haugstrup and Line Breivik and our new directors Karina Wåhlstrand Johansen, Peter Østergaard and Sebastian Houe.
Jenny has been with KPMG since 2001 and has 18 years of experience working with Danish and international individual tax. She has throughout her career specialised in the various tax and social security matters relating to all types of mobile employees, including global payroll and immigration.
Besides ensuring our global services and cooperation with clients, Jenny is taking an active role in providing solutions and sparring to both Danish and international businesses in regard to their mobile workforce. Jenny has therefore a significant experience in strategic sparring to employers that face a “journey” for their international employees, that being e.g. global transformation. Jenny's ability to understand business strategy and processes, combined with a strong technical background, enables her to deliver successful business solutions.
Holger has been part of the KPMG network since 2008. He spent a couple of years at another Big 4 company and joined KPMG Acor Tax as tax director in 2017.
Holger has comprehensive experience within transfer pricing, international corporate tax as well as taxation and valuation of real estate. He has provided various tax services to numerous large international groups and companies, and his industry experience is broad in most industries.
Among other things, Holger renders advisory services within the following areas: transfer pricing services, due diligence services in connection with acquisitions and sale of companies and tax strategy and tax governance.
Holger is day-to-day head of our Aarhus office with more than 40 tax specialists.
Throughout Line's professional career a recurring theme has been building up, developing and optimizing administrative processes, structures and departments. She has designed and developed both customer oriented and administrative functions from scratch to effective and successful operations both within the travel and consulting industry. Line has 15 years of experience with tax practice management and thorough knowledge of KPMG's infrastructure, processes and quality requirements.
Last year Line scoped and implemented KPMG Acor Tax's GDPR readiness programme to ensure the firm's compliance with the new regulation. In this process, Line gained deep insight into many aspects of risk management and subsequently stepped into the role as Head of Tax Quality & Risk Management.
Karina joined KPMG Acor Tax in January 2015. She has more than 10 years of experience working with cross-border taxation, providing assistance to expatriates, inbound to and outbound from Denmark.
Karina is specialized in providing global advisory to employers, assignees, local hires and business travellers regarding tax and social security matters in connection with assignments/cross border work.
Her experience includes assistance to Danish and foreign employees, payroll departments, and compliance assistance (tax calculations, tax registrations, tax returns, tax assessments, tax exemptions, etc.). Furthermore, Karina has vast experience working with assignment related technology.
Peter has been with KPMG since 2010, with a short term at Accura Tax, before Accura Tax became KPMG ACOR TAX. Thus, he has been with the company from the very beginning.
Throughout his career, he has been working with M&A tax, including also structuring, due diligence, tax modelling and tax compliance.
He specializes within real estate sector, and broadly representing clients within real estate funds, private equity as well as Danish and foreign pension funds.
Furthermore, Peter has significant experience in working in the infrastructure and energy sector – havning adviced on a number of transactions and relevant compliance assistance.
Sebastian has worked with indirect taxes for over 10 years and has advised many different enterprises, both national and international. From 2008 and until his employment with KPMG Acor Tax in August 2017, Sebastian was employed in the indirect tax team at another Big Four company. Sebastian also has experience from working abroad in London assisting international clients with VAT compliance and holds a PhD in excise duties.
As an adviser, Sebastian's main focus is in the public sector and the energy & supply sector where he provides indirect tax services in various different fields including VAT, excise duties, energy taxes and green incentives etc. Furthermore, Sebastian has assisted a number of enterprises with VAT rules on international trading and compliance.
In addition, Sebastian has been an external associate professor at Aarhus University for a number of years.
