New report | Nordic Procurement Survey

Effective procurement is a powerful function in any organisation. In a new report, KPMG's Nordic Procurement experts have analysed the procurement function in 153 different Nordic organisations. The report outlines key findings, as well as recommendations for enhancing a procurement function further – relevant for most organisations today.

Valuable insights from public and private organisations
In this report – which we believe is the most comprehensive Nordic procurement survey to date – we have gathered valuable insights from senior procurement officers and CPO in both public and private organisations from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

Some of our key findings were:

  • Organisations can still make better use of their procurement functions for spend management.
  • Organisations do not dedicate enough resources for risk mitigation in the supply chain.
  • Investment in training decreases, the more centralized the procurement function is.
  • The more strategically oriented the procurement function is, the more widely sustainability goals are set and prioritised.
  • Benchmarking the value added by the procurement function against market levels shows the value of procurement to the rest of the organisation and other stakeholders.

You can download the report here.

We hope you find the insights and the recommendations in this report valuable and useful to your organisation. If you would like to discuss any of the findings in the report or anything else related to help your procurement function drive the competitiveness of your organisation, please do not hesitate to contact us.
