In the last couple of months, we have been pleased to welcome 12 new colleagues to KPMG Acor Tax.
We would like to introduce them to you briefly:
Casper Bjerregaard Eskildsen's background is commercial law and he has done a PhD in indirect taxes. Casper will join our team as senior manager and focus on financial services where Casper has extensive experience, working a.o. with the ATP case claims.
Malene Selbo joined our team as Director in Indirect Taxes on 1 November, where she will focus on large clients, bringing her wide experience into play. Malene comes from a position as head of indirect tax at Maersk Line and has broad industry experience also working earlier with Arriva and GE.
Mathias Beck initially joined us as Assistant in corporate tax, but after handing in his master thesis, he now works as Consultant. Mathias wrote his master thesis regarding the Danish GAAR and its conjunction with the Danish Merger Tax Act. Before deciding to join us, Mathias worked as Student Assistant at Advokatfirmaet Tommy V. Christiansen in Aarhus where he mainly worked with commercial taxation and tax litigation.
Mads Viggers Andersen joined our Indirect Tax team on 1 December as Assistant. Mads is 27 years old and is currently studying an MSc in Business Economics and Auditing at CBS. Mads also holds a bachelor degree in business economy from the University of Southern Denmark. Mads has been employed as Student Assistant at the Ministry of Finance.
Olga Myrgorodska joined our Transfer Pricing group in Hellerup as Senior Consultant on 1 December. Olga holds a degree in law from King's College London. Her most recent work experience has been with BUPA Global, an international insurance provider. Before settling in Denmark, Olga worked as an in-house lawyer in a London-based business centre and, prior to that, she has worked for four years as Senior Consultant in Kiev with focus on tax, legal and transfer pricing.
Christian Dysted joined our Corporate Tax group on 1 December as Consultant in Hellerup. Christian graduated in law from the University of Copenhagen in August 2015. Furthermore, he has a Master of Law from Fordham University. He worked at Hansen TaxLegal as Student Assistant and, since 1 September, he worked as Assistant Attorney. In these positions, he has mainly worked with tax law and corporate law.
Lasse Fanøe Petersen joined our Transfer Pricing group in Hellerup as Consultant on 1 December. For the past three years, Lasse has worked as an internal transfer pricing advisor within DSB. Lasse holds an MSc in Business Administration and Commercial Law from CBS.
Tine Banke Høgberg is bilingual Secretary and, until 2012, she worked for KPMG old co. Tine joined us in December, where she will support our Mobility and People Services team. In her spare time, when she is not with family and friends, she is a volunteer with Stafet for Livet (Relay for Life) and Natteravnene (Night Owls).
Mette Just Danielsen is educated in auditing and has worked seven years as an auditor. The last seven years she has worked in Indirect Tax with a variety of businesses and with a focus on data analytics. She joined our team as Manager in November, where she will focus on processes, controls and data analytics in terms of Indirect Taxes.
Maria Kolstad joined KPMG Acor Tax in January this year as Assistant in the Mobility and People Services group. She graduated from Slagelse Gymnasium in the summer of 2014, and next semester she would like to start her studies in law at the University of Copenhagen or at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS).
Martin Henri Lett With's background is commercial law. He has worked on a variety of midsized businesses herein a.o. shipping, transportation and logistics, energy, financial services and travel agencies. Martin joined our team as Director on 1 February and a.o. focus on midmarket clients engaging in attracting new clients to our firm.
Janni Jørgensen joined KPMG Acor Tax as Senior Consultant in Indirect Taxes on 1 February, where she will focus on VAT Compliance, VAT Advisory and Excise duties. Janni graduated as cand.merc.jur. from Aalborg University in 2013 and has since then been employed by KPMG in Budapest where her job consisted of reviewing VAT returns, overseeing registrations and liaising with tax authorities in Scandinavia.
