In recent years, the discussion about a tax system revision has focused on taxation of profits from large multinational corporations. One of the objectives of the OECD is to find a global solution to the challenges of digitization in 2020. An on-going project commonly referred to as "Base Erosion and Profit Shifting 2.0" or "BEPS 2.0".

A work plan has been drawn up with the countries in the so-called 'Inclusive Framework', which is a network of +135 countries, including OECD member countries as well as 66 developing countries and 14 observer organisations. This work plan consists of two pillars. The first pillar (Pillar 1) aims at developing a new approach for establishing taxable presence (so-called 'nexus') in the digital economy. The second pillar (Pillar 2) introduces the concept of a global minimum profit tax. BEPS 2.0 has now progressed to a stage of a scheduled early October release of Blueprint reports, and warming up to the release, the Danish Minister of Taxation addressed the Danish effects of BEPS 2.0 in Parliament in late September

But what do these developments mean for international businesses? What impact can be expected for Danish based multinational enterprises? Questions we would like to help answer based on the new Blueprint reports.

Therefore, we invite you to our webinar A new tax system for the digital era: basic introduction to BEPS 2.0, where we will bring you up-to-speed on everything you need to know.
