The KPMG network’s Danish tax advisory member firm, KPMG Acor Tax, has strengthened its market position with the appointment of four experienced partners. The firm was founded by partners Ria Falk and Ole Schmidt as Accura Tax and changed its name to KPMG Acor Tax when officially joining the KPMG network on 1 August 2014.
The four new partners have experience from the former KPMG as well as other tax advisory firms, and they are recognised for their professional competencies, values and interpersonal skills. The appointment of the four is part of KPMG Acor Tax’ significant strengthening of organisation and competencies – since the turn of the year, the organisation has grown from 8 to 40 partners and employees, and will exceed 50 in December. KPMG Acor Tax has relocated to new offices at Tuborg Havnevej in Hellerup. KPMG Acor Tax has been well-received by the market, and there has been an influx of new clients, including a number of the country’s largest listed companies.
On 1 July, the two former KPMG equity partners and managers, Henrik Lund and Martin Nielsen, joined KPMG Acor Tax as partners. “Henrik and Martin are – both as persons and professional front-runners – part of the absolute major league and among Denmark’s leading experts on transfer pricing. Through several years, they have been closely interconnected with the international KPMG network, and they will be incremental to the growth and development of our international business,” said Ria Falk, partner at KPMG Acor Tax.
In addition, KPMG Acor Tax has strengthened its market position with the appointment of Claus Bohn Jespersen, former head of the VAT department at PwC, and Pia Konnerup, who previously led the personal tax department at the former KPMG. Both have entered KPMG Acor Tax’ partner group. For more than 10 years, Claus Bohn Jespersen has advised a host of large multinational corporations in Denmark, and since 1 September, he has been responsible for Indirect Tax. As of 1 October, Pia Konnerup heads KPMG Acor Tax’ International Executive Services (IES).
”The appointment of new partners and reunion with the KPMG network creates a stronger offering to the market, and we are now prepared to take the next step, defining new standards for tax advisory services. We are committed to maintain the strong client focus in our advisory services, and we are therefore pleased to welcome our new colleagues who have all proven their ability to lead and develop global client accounts and cooperate closely across the international network,” said Ria Falk.
On the occasion of the name change and the build-up of the organization, KPMG Acor Tax hosts a reception today at 15.30 CET at the firm’s new offices at Tuborg Havnevej 18, DK-2900 Hellerup.
