The training modules are based on KPMG’s technical expertise, which is adapted and made available by WTT with up-to-date teaching methods. 1.  Tax Compliance: Basic Knowledge (available in German and English)

  • Basic training
  • Content: Tax-related issues arise in many areas of a business entity, even outside the tax department. This training module makes participants aware of tax-related issues in various business transactions. It reduces the frequency of errors and makes it easier for the tax department to meet the compliance requirements of the German tax authorities.

2.  Transfer prices: Basic Knowledge (available in German and English)

  • Entry-level training for leaders and project leaders
  • Content: Business entities that are affiliated from a tax perspective must observe the “arm’s length” principle when structuring their business relationships, i.e. they must behave as they would towards unrelated third parties. An important criterion here is transfer prices. In this training, participants learn, among other things, why transfer prices are so important, where they are encountered in everyday working life, how they are set and which tax aspects need to be taken into account.

3. Value Added Tax: Basic Knowledge (available in German and English)

4. Wage Tax: Basic Knowledge (available in German)

  • Beginners and advanced
  • Content: When exactly does wage tax apply? And why does the employer actually pay it? This training explains what wage tax is, how it is recorded and what the consequences can be if mistakes are made. This training provides the necessary understanding to recognise what the tax and HR department can do and in which areas you must provide support.

5. Value Added Tax for Municipalities (available in German)

  • Beginners
  • Content: The introduction of § 2b of the Value Added Tax Law (UStG) results in changes in public administration. VAT issues have become relevant in previously unaffected areas. It is necessary to quickly familiarise employees with the basics of value added tax and the various aspects of the new legal situation under § 2b UStG. This training focuses on the relevance of tax to municipalities and provides participants with the basic knowledge they need. Through numerous real-world examples, the knowledge learned can be applied directly.
  • Audience: Employees with commercial functions, employees in administration
  • Duration: approximately 30 minutes

6. Value Added Tax for Churches (available in German)

  • Beginners
  • Content: The introduction of § 2b of the Value Added Tax Law (UStG) results in changes in public administration. VAT issues have become relevant for activities and areas not previously affected. It is necessary to quickly familiarise employees with the basics of value added tax and the various aspects of the new legal situation under § 2b UStG. The focus of the training is on the relevance of the changes for churches as a result of § 2b UStG. Participants are taught basic knowledge and can apply this directly using practical examples.
  • Audience: Church management boards, employees with commercial functions, employees in administration
  • Duration: approximately 30 minutes

7. Withholding tax according to § 50a EStG (available in German)

  • Advanced
  • Content: When remuneration is paid for certain services, such as performances by foreign artists or athletes, or when rights are transferred to foreign contractual partners, income or corporation tax is levied directly at source, i.e. when the remuneration is paid. More and more frequently, circumstances arise in companies that lead to a withholding tax obligation according to § 50a EStG - it is all the more important to recognise them in time.
  • In which cases is a withholding tax deduction to be made and by whom? This training uses practical examples to show the basic rules of withholding tax according to § 50a EStG as well as the consequences of violating the withholding tax obligation.
  • Target group: Employees from all areas; especially from the following departments/areas: commercial, administration, legal, purchasing, marketing, events and media, IT as well as research and development.
