The Calm Before the Storm – Rising Profits and Deflated Values?
The 14th edition of the Cost of Capital Study is under the motto “The Calm Before the Storm - Rising Profits and Deflated Values?” It examines, among other things, the impact of regulatory interventions, scarcity of resources as well as digitalization on business models, their performance (cash flows) and their risk (cost of capital) on the basis of sector specific analyses.
The response rate of companies again demonstrated the practical relevance of our annual Cost of Capital Study. In total, 312 (previous year: 276) companies shared their insights for our 2019 Cost of Capital Study. Among the participating companies were 240 from Germany, including 83 percent of DAX companies and 68 percent of MDAX companies.
