Non-profit organisations (NPOs) and churches take on a variety of tasks in civil society. They are independent of the state and, unlike private business entities, are not profit-oriented.

NPOs make an enormously important contribution in many areas of civil society: science with research and teaching, the social economy, development aid, for human and civil rights, for humanitarian aid, for environmental protection, for art, culture and the churches for pastoral care, preaching and Caritas as well as diaconia.

This so-called “third sector” is regularly subject to strong changes. Demographics are driving strong changes in demand for performance. The rising average age leads to increasing demand in the social economy, but it also leads to decreasing student numbers in universities.

Many facilities have a high proportion of personnel costs, but are affected by funding uncertainties in federal, state and local political decisions or fundraising. Income from securities and real estate is under strong pressure during the low-interest period. New funding sources must be developed.

Digitalisation of all areas of life and organisation is rapidly progressing. The legal situation in many jurisdictions is changing significantly, such as tax law, labour law or data protection legislation.

An ever-increasing need for transparency in the area of finances, structures and decisions by the entire society requires effective control and control mechanisms.

We want to help you create secure structures for tomorrow.
