Christian Rast has been in various management positions for more than 25 years and has worked for Bertelsmann, Roland Berger and Dicke & Wicharz (a spin-off of McKinsey). In 1995, he co-founded BrainNet, one of the most successful consulting firms in the fields of procurement and supply chain management. Christian Rast has advised on the development of Internet marketplaces for Deutsche Telekom, SAP, Bayer, BASF and Shell. Since the acquisition of BrainNet in 2012, he has been a partner at KPMG, where he established the Global Center of Excellence for Strategic Sourcing & Procurement. He has been a member of the Executive Board since October 2014 and was initially responsible for Solutions in this role for four years. In October 2017, Christian additionally assumed the role of "Global Head of Technology & Knowledge" in the Global Management Team of KPMG International. In addition to Global ITS and Knowledge Management, he is responsible for KPMG Lighthouse (Center of Excellence for Data & Analytics and Artificial Intelligence), Alliance Management and Oversight Management of Big Initiatives. Since October 2018, Christian has been responsible for Services Consulting and Deal Advisory in his capacity as Advisory Board Member together with the divisional directors.
