Marios is a Board Member heading the Financial Risk Management Department of KPMG in Cyprus. He has more than 20 years of advisory experience in the Financial Services sector. He has led multiple advisory engagements in the areas of banking risk and regulation with emphasis on capital adequacy, stress testing, credit risk quantification (including IFRS 9) and data remediation. He was involved in high profile projects during the banking restructuring in Cyprus such as valuations of banks for bail-in, Asset Quality Review, recapitalisation plans, restructuring plans for state aid and sale of NPEs through structured (securitisation) transactions. He has also led the development of risk based supervision framework of supervisory authorities.
