Wayne is a Chartered Accountant and has 12+ years of Advisory experience with a wealth of forensic fraud investigation, audit assurance, fraud risk management and regulatory risk and compliance experience. He is responsible for the operations and service offering of KPMG SA Forensic in Cape Town. Wayne also leads the audit assurance support service within KPMG SA Forensic, and specialises in the Financial services and Oil and Gas sectors, the provision of Fraud & Conduct reviews and Regulatory Compliance, with specific focus on Anti-bribery & Corruption and Anti-money-laundering; and has led and managed assignments in South Africa, Africa, Europe and the Middle East.

Wayne is a Chartered Accountant with a wealth of forensic, risk and compliance experience.

Since joining KPMG Forensic since 2008, he at various stages, conducted and managed assignments in South Africa, Zimbabwe; Mozambique; The Netherlands; The United Arab Emirates; Namibia; Botswana; Kenya; Zambia; Seychelles; Uganda; Tanzania and Malawi.

Wayne conducted numerous fraud and misconduct investigations, relating to financial reporting and manipulation of funds including procurement and supplier vetting irregularities across the private and public sectors.

Wayne’s experience includes Regulatory compliance, conducting Anti-bribery investigations and pro-active Anti-bribery and money laundering compliance audits in terms of the FCPA and UK Bribery Act on behalf major multi-national entities in multiple jurisdictions, which included to reporting regulatory authorities.

Wayne has conducted numerous fraud risk assessments, developed fraud policies and strategies and numerous fraud reviews under the guidelines of the International Standard on Auditing 240 (ISA 240) and ISA 250 regarding regulatory compliance as part of the statutory financial statement audit process.

Wayne has also performed compliance reviews in terms of the Bank Acts and Mutual Banks Act on behalf of the South African Reserve Bank.

Wayne has presented seminars and workshops on fraud and ethics, corruption, anti-bribery and money-laundering in various segments of the market.
