Andrew is the lead partner for our UK health consulting practice and our UK Head of Public Healthcare. He has undertaken work on the redesign of whole health and social care systems, organisational and operational strategy, commissioning development and productivity, cost and performance improvement within the UK for the Office for Government Commerce, the Department of Health, Monitor, SHAs and NHS Foundation Trusts, NHS Trusts and PCTs. He has also undertaken client work and lectured on health systems change in the US, Saudi Arabia and in various European countries. Andrew joined KPMG at the end of 2004. Immediately prior to joining the firm he was the Director of Policy, Planning and Performance Management at the University Hospital Birmingham (UHB) NHS Foundation Trust, During a 14 year NHS career Andrew worked at all levels of the NHS as a director, manager and planner of services from specialist acute to community hospitals and including primary care, mental health and learning disability services. He has also worked on secondment to the civil service within the Welsh Office Health Department leading a major structural reorganisation of the NHS in Wales.
