From 2009-2016, 25 KPMG member firms supported the transformation of a village on Pemba Island, part of Tanzania's Zanzibar archipelago. This commitment to the Millennium Village Project (MVP), a demonstration project aimed at proving an integrated approach to rural development could help achieve the Millennium Development Goals, exceeded US$2.2 million with investment in education, health, infrastructure, as well as agriculture and the environment, impacting more than1,300 households.
