Ross Macallister is a Managing Partner and leads our Consulting Services at KPMG Vietnam, where he advises clients on complex business and IT programs and projects. Ross brings over 34 years of hands-on multi-sector experience, gained across both emerging and mature markets encompassing Europe, the Middle-East, North-America and the Asia Pacific

Ross has been working in Asia since 2006 and leads our Consulting Services practice.  He brings over 35 years of hands-on multi-sector experience helping clients drive business value through the strategic and effective use of technology.  This experience has been gained across both emerging and mature markets encompassing Europe, the Middle-East, North-America and the Asia Pacific, for MNC’s, Private and State-owned businesses

During his career, Ross has held a number of senior roles in Asia, most notably, as both Group CIO and
divisional CEO for a fortune 250 enterprise where he was tasked with architecting and leading its transformation and restructuring programme, as part of a global modernization initiative.

Ross’s areas of expertise include business transformation; business and information technology strategy;
mergers, acquisitions, and divestments; programme & change management, where he has been recognized for combining innovative thinking with pragmatic use of technology and leading practice to establish and build new business capabilities, improve ROI, and navigate change.

 

Example projects include:

  • Leading the execution of a global multi-year, multi-million dollar transformation programme, across all  functional areas for 60 businesses supporting 160,000 employees 
  • Leading a restructuring plan of multiple assets for a fortune 250 enterprise in preparation for either
    reverse integration into a newly acquired international business or carve-out and disposal
  • Leading the integration of 14 services businesses & rationalizing infrastructure into a single shared service center, whilst introducing new systems to support a major re-organization of Finance, Sales & Marketing, HR, Distribution and Customer Services
