Pratik Vora

Pratik regularly provides specialist IFRS/UK GAAP accounting advice to large corporates and mid-market clients on group reorganisation and structuring projects. He has led projects to reduce intercompany balances and simplify the group structures. Group reorganisation projects involve advising clients on the accounting impact of a restructuring project (including, but not limited to, the transfer of trade and assets and investments, distributions, rationalising intercompany balances, reducing legal entities etc.). The projects involve working with cross-functional teams, including Tax, Legal and Deal Advisory teams.

Pratik also provides transaction specific and ad hoc accounting advice to KPMG’s clients.

This includes advice on the application of new and existing accounting requirements to a range of business activities including acquisitions and mergers, financing transactions, distributable reserves planning and GAAP conversions. Pratik also leads the development of digital solutions for implementing in group technical accounting and financial reporting functions of clients. Pratik provided post-deal support to a large hotel owner. He played a critical role to ensure the acquired business of a portfolio of hotels reaches a ‘business-as-usual’ state and has been the advisor of choice for the client for the past three years.

Pratik has delivered several trainings on technical accounting topics for clients, DipIFR participants and study circles. Pratik is qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 10 years of post-qualification experience with KPMG’s AAS. He has worked within various service offerings of accounting advisory services and has experience of working in UK, India, Middle-East and East Africa.
