Tim has worked in the field of international tax for 20 years, and leads the firm’s EMEA Value Chain Management (VCM) practice, specialising in IP planning and operating model restructuring.

His recent projects include:

  • Helping several clients to adapt to the post-Covid hybrid working environment, including developing “work from anywhere” policies for hiring and relocation
  • Designing entity and transfer pricing models for EMEA commercialisation for companies headquartered in the US, Asia and Australia 
  • Defending clients’ transfer pricing positions in a number of HMRC tax enquiries, PDCF procedures as well Advance Pricing Agreements and Mutual Agreement Procedures
  • Helping a number of groups to restructure European supply chains following the Brexit vote 

Tim is also KPMG UK’s head of tax policy, acting as the external face of the firm in the news media and coordinating our policy relationships with HMRC and HM Treasury. In this role he has made frequent appearances on TV, Radio and Newspapers discussing issues ranging from international tax reform, to the impacts of Brexit and UK domestic tax policy.
