Paul Harden has worked in tax for KPMG for over 25 years and is currently a tax director in London Region National Markets team.

Paul works with a wide range of companies, from fin tech start-ups to healthcare providers, retail, real-estate and investment managers advising them, their shareholders and employees on their corporate and personal taxes.

Paul has a particular interest in transaction work, advising both companies and their shareholders on the tax implications of acquisitions, mergers and disposals. Paul frequently advises on the tax treatment of intangible assets and the reliefs available for corporate acquirers.

Paul has worked with UK based and international businesses, on their corporate structuring, particularly with regards to partnership entities.

Paul has a wide experience of PE backed investments and transactions.

Paul helped lead a KPMG project for HM Revenue and Customs to model the cost to business of complying with the UK tax obligations. As a result of that project, Paul has a wide understanding of the UK tax system as a whole.
