Brent is an Audit Partner with more than 27 years’ experience, providing financial statement audit, audit of internal control, regulatory audit, and transaction services, and includes three years’ experience in London and 12 years as partner. His extensive experience in audit and advisory assignments spans a range of sectors including; telecommunications, banking and finance, infrastructure and utilities, and media. Brent is the current engagement partner for Rangatira Investments, NZX, New Zealand Transport Agency, TSB Bank and The Treasury. He has previously been the lead engagement partner for issuer clients such as Telecom, Chorus, Z Energy and Contact Energy. Brent led KPMG’s transaction services and audit team advising Z Energy (previously Shell New Zealand’s downstream oil business) on its initial public offering on the New Zealand Stock Exchange. He also assisted Telecom NZ to successfully implement the requirements of US Sarbanes Oxley Act in 2007 to 2011, as well as serving as an integral part of advising Telecom on the significant divestment of their network business in 2011. He is also a trustee for the Victoria University Foundation.
