Brian is head of KPMG’s Insurance practice coordinating all of our services across audit, tax and advisory to our insurance clients. He leads our actuarial practice in Ireland advising domestic and international clients in the insurance, reinsurance and the corporate pensions sector and supporting our activities on credit risk modelling in the banking sector and valuation of complex assets in the asset management sector. He principally works with insurance and reinsurance companies in the areas of financial and regulatory capital reporting, capital optimisation, risk management, M&A and process improvement.

Brian acts as Head of Actuarial Function to a number of insurance and reinsurance companies regulated in Ireland, Appointed Actuary in the Isle of Man and Approved Actuary to life reinsurance companies regulated in Bermuda and Singapore. Brian is on Council of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland and acts as Honorary Secretary to the Society, is a member of various sub committees of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland and is the Society's representative on the Insurance Accounting subcommittee of the International Actuarial Association.
