Bravo Sustainability Dialogues & Awards 2023

KPMG in Greece was awarded for the Social Responsibility action "Cook for Good: We cook for a good cause" in the pillar "SOCIETY" at the Annual Awarding Event of the Bravo Sustainability Dialogue & Awards 2023, organized by the QualityNet Foundation. The action takes place on the occasion of the International United Nations Day for the Eradication of Poverty (17/10) and the World Food Day (16/10) and is fully aligned with the first and second United Nations Sustainable Development goals for fighting poverty and eradicating hunger. In 2023, more than 40 employees managed to surpass the record of previous years by cooking more than 350 meals for our fellow human beings in need. The food rations were given to the Galini Foundation through the NGO "Borume" which consistently supports the company's initiative.

KPMG in Greece received the Silver award in the "Gender" category at the Diversity & Inclusion Awards 2023, for the actions focusing on Inclusion, Equality and Empowerment of women. KPMG in Greece promotes equality and inclusion in all areas of its activity. KPMG plays a vital role in eliminating inequalities, from achieving gender equality through policies that ensure equal opportunities for all employees, to promoting female leadership and developing female talents.

Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2023

KPMG in Greece received the Gold award for the Social Responsibility action "Cook for Good: We cook for a good cause" in the "ESG & SDGS" section and particularly, in the "Zero Hunger" category of the Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2023.

Since 2016, KPMG's Social Responsibility action “Cook for Good” takes place every year on the occasion of the International United Nations Day for the Eradication of Poverty (17/10) and the World Food Day (16/10) and is fully aligned with the 1st & 2nd UN Sustainable Development Goal of zero poverty and hunger. In 2022, a total of 29 company executives cooked 250 meals for our fellow human beings in need, being coordinated by the famous chef Stavros Varthalitis, and the food portions were given to the Foundation “Faros Elpidas” through the NGO "Boroume", which consistently supports the company's action.

Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2022

The Social Responsibility initiative "KPMG Global Cyber Day" was awarded at the Bravo Sustainability Dialogues & Awards 2022 in the "Education - Young Generation - Lifelong Learning" category of the "Society" pillar, through the committee’s evaluation process and the public vote. The education program "KPMG Global Cyber Day" is a global scale social initiative of KPMG that takes place within the framework of the International Cyber Security Awareness Month and aims to educate students of various age groups, as well as adults in their environment, about the importance of cyber safety and the dangers of the internet.

In 2021, cyber security consultants and "Cyber Day Champions" of KPMG in Greece, presented the "KPMG Global Cyber Day" program online and in person in schools. Proper use of social media, protecting identity online, cyber bullying, online gaming, and cyber threats, are some of the topics that youth is daily facing and that were covered in depth through this program. In October 2021, more than 1,400 students attended the educational program in Greece.

Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2020

KPMG in Greece received the Bronze award in the "Communication Excellence" category of the Responsible Business Awards 2020, for its support at the "A Woman Can Be" initiative. The two mountaineers, Vanessa Archontidou and Christina Flampouri, who conquered the Everest in May 2019, became the first Greek women who climbed the "Roof of the World".

KPMG in Greece received the Silver Award in the Digital Education and Skills category of the Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2019, for the Social Responsibility initiative "KPMG Global Cyber Day". KPMG's global education program "KPMG Global Cyber Day" takes place in the context of the International Cyber Security Awareness Month and aims to educate students of various age groups, as well as the adults in their environment, about the importance of cyber security and the dangers of the internet.

In 2019, cyber security consultants and “Cyber Day Champions” of KPMG in Greece, managed to educate 960 students and their parents about cyber security in less than 1,5 months.

Responsible Business Awards 2018

KPMG in Greece received the Bronze award in the Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2018, in the “Long term commitment and support in the local community” category! The award was given for our 14 years of contribution to Perama, from which 120 and more families benefit twice per year, through the donation of food, necessities, clothing and toys.
