Jennifer Muirhead

Jennifer is a Partner in the Tax practice at KPMG in Canada and leads the Indirect Tax practice in Calgary. Jennifer began her career with KPMG and has been practicing in the area of indirect tax since 2001. Jennifer has worked in Ontario, British Columbia, and most recently in Alberta, keeping her at the forefront of significant indirect tax changes over the years including harmonization and de-harmonization, and constantly evolving legislation and administrative policies. Jennifer’s experience covers a wide array of industries including oil and gas, financial services, manufacturing, software, real estate and public sector entities. Jennifer combines her technical expertise with data and analytics, making her uniquely qualified to help clients take control of the audit dispute resolution process and its uncertainty. Jennifer is also heavily involved in advising clients on the indirect tax implications of existing and proposed transactions and structures and the associated compliance obligations, as well as obtaining rulings and interpretations on complex indirect tax matters. Jennifer is also a regular speaker at CPA and other technical conferences.
