Steve specialises in global banking and capital markets, and has worked for KPMG in both the UK and Australia. He is KPMG's National Sector Leader for Banking & Capital Market, the Client Lead Partner for the foreign banks sector in Australia as well as supporting a broader range of global institutions.

Steve is living his best life when he is deep in helping our clients through complex situations. He thrives on unpacking issues, diagnosing problems and bringing together diverse, global expertise to support our largest clients in solving problems and developing their businesses.

He is experienced across a range of domains including risk and regulation, regulatory engagement, supervision and enforcement, technology and transformation programs including data and digital strategy and cloud adoption and M&A, ECM/DCM and tax and legal matters.

He is a frequent coach to our clients and our own teams, particularly around personal growth and resilience. He leads ‘Spotlight’, the firm’s executive transition program, which provides developmental coaching to C-level executives stepping into new roles and taking on new challenges.

Steve has a keen interest in how businesses anticipate and deliver customer expectations and he was  accredited with Chartered Marketer status back in the early 2000’s. He remains fascinated by evolving business and investment models around co-creation and client-centricity.

As an advocate for mental health, Steve provides support to those who are navigating the pressures of demanding roles in professional life.
