KPMG Australia

Paul is the National Managing Partner for Consulting at KPMG Australia, the largest of the firm’s five divisions.

He leads a group of specialists that help domestic and international businesses navigate challenges, achieve their ambitions and grow. KPMG Consulting is the embodiment of the firm’s commitment to the multi-disciplinary model. It sees the firm operate as a single integrated business, and allows KPMG to bring the right expertise and skills into the room at the right time.

Prior to this he was National Managing Partner of KPMG Enterprise. Enterprise is KPMG’s specialist consulting, audit, tax and technology practice working with mid-market, private, family and emerging businesses across Australia and the South Pacific.

He was previously the Partner in Charge of KPMG’s Customer, Brand & Marketing Advisory practice and also led KPMG’s Asset & Wealth Management practice, leading the firm’s work in the superannuation, asset management and wealth sectors.

Paul joined KPMG in 2014 after 15 years in the Australian labour movement, including 7 years as the National Secretary of The Australian Workers’ Union (AWU). He also served as Vice President of the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU).

Paul is currently a director of Beyond Blue, a member of the UTS Business School Advisory Board and a Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia. He has previously served as a director and Deputy Chair of AustralianSuper, a Commissioner on the Federal Government’s Covid-19 Coordination Commission, a member of the Executive Committee of the IndustriALL Global Union, a director of the Australian Workforce and Productivity Agency, the Prime Minister’s Manufacturing Taskforce, and served on the boards of a number of policy institutes.
