Agile Internal Audit

Change is the only constant and with COVID-19 throwing the world a curveball, organisations need adapt fast.

KPMG found eighty percent of more than 120 organisations have begun applying Agile principles in their processes. This means that the internal audit functions (IAF) have also begun to evolve.

Drawing on our international customer knowledge and experiences, KPMG explores the origin and key concept of the Agile method in the first of a two-part white paper. It will also look at how and why Agile is relevant within the IAF and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards.

The report also analyses what an agile internal audit model would look like at different maturity levels.
