New HKEX requirements on risk management and internal control: How companies are responding to the code requirements
How companies are responding to the code requirements
In December 2014, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited published its new corporate governance requirements, the Consultation Conclusions on Risk Management and Internal Control: Review of the Corporate Governance Code and Corporate Governance Report.
KPMG China surveyed a number of executives of Hong Kong listed companies to see how they are responding to the new requirements. The report also outlines a number of steps companies need to take in order to adequately mitigate against certain risks in light of the new requirements that came into force in January this year.
