KPMG in China

Kevin joined KPMG Shanghai in early 2009 from a US based multinational corporation, where he gained over 2 years experience in financial investigation and internal control matters. Prior to that, Kevin spent 5 years with another international “Big-Four” professional firm where he worked with multinational, state-owned and local private entities in China, providing them with a wide range of professional service and assistance including PRC statutory audits, US / IFRS reporting, US / HK IPO audits, SOX attestation and financial due diligence.

In 2013, Kevin joined a multinational corporation as Head of Forensic in China where he established an investigation team, developed the associated policy and procedures including a China whistleblower program, and oversighted numerous investigations across the country. Kevin came back to KPMG Forensic in 2014. 

Kevin has conducted numerous forensic engagements, primarily in the field of financial statement fraud, asset misappropriation, corruption and bribery, conflict of interest and equal opportunity. His anti-fraud work has involved both the investigation of alleged misconduct and subsequent remediation procedures for a number of cases across the Asia Pacific Region.

Kevin has conducted many Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (“FCPA”) bribery and corruption related engagements such as FCPA investigation, FCPA due diligence, FCPA risk assessment and remediation, and training for US SEC listed enterprises.

Kevin has also performed a number of financial and operational audits throughout the Asia Pacific Region where he reported to the Audit Committee and senior management with objective analysis of problematic activities. He has specialized in identifying areas of potential internal control exposure and areas for improving operational efficiency.
