KPMG Procurement Advisory team has won the 2019 “Golden Cube Award” by Haier Group.
On 15 March, KPMG’s Procurement Advisory team received the 2019 Golden Cube Award from the home appliances giant Haier Group for our outstanding contributions to the strategic transformation of its procurement platform COSMOPlat. It is the first time KPMG has won this award, and we are the only consultancy firm recognised this year.
COSMOPlat is an industrial internet platform where users can interact with each other under the ecosystem of Haier. It provides mass customisation solutions with 7 modules including interaction, design and procurement which are used across 12 industries and 11 regions. With the use of big data and cloud services, these modules allow users to collaborate in the whole industrial process, through, for instance, collaborative manufacturing, interconnected factory construction, and procurement processes etc. With COSMOPlat, Haier aims to build a co-created and win-win ecosystem that enables the empowerment of enterprises.
Through close collaboration between Haier and KPMG, the KPMG Procurement Advisory team conducted extensive analytical research and combined the results with its rich expertise and project experience in the field of e-procurement platforms for COSMOPlat’s procurement module. They delivered in-depth recommendations on the future development strategy by providing suggestions for leading platform functionalities and multi-angle implementation strategies based on Haier’s vision on the platform.
This Golden Cube award does not only represent the outstanding performance of KPMG’s Procurement Advisory team, but represents good mutual trust between Haier and KPMG and laid a foundation for a potential future cooperation on creating an even more advanced platform.
Founded in 2015, the Golden Cube Award recognises outstanding contributions by Haier’s suppliers in constructing the company’s ecosphere and programmes that create value for users. Over the past few years, this award has become the highest recognition for measuring suppliers’ innovation capabilities in the home appliances industry. Previous Golden Cube Award winners include world-leading brands such as Samsung Electronics and Mitsubishi Motors.
