Equal Pay Analysis

Equal Pay Analysis

The revision of the Wage Equality Act has had a variety of effects for many companies. KPMG can help you identify the opportunities it presents.

Equal pay analysis: KPMG shows you the possibilities.

Since 1 July 2020, companies with 100 or more employees must perform an equal pay analysis within one year and communicate the results to their employees – listed companies must publish the results in their annual report.

The steps to achieve equal pay

The law requires that the companies’ equal pay analyses be reviewed by an external, independent body. KPMG is your competent partner for this. Not only that, but KPMG will also be happy to provide you direct support by helping you prepare the analysis or with the preliminary review of your HR process landscape. In short: KPMG accompanies you along every step of the way.

KPMG services at a glance

  • Preliminary analysis of equal pay: We help you identify potential inequalities during the preliminary analysis. We will provide you with an action plan and recommendations to help your HR department bring payroll processes up to the level required to pass the external audit, which will take place in June 2021 at the latest.
  • Equal pay analysis: We help you conduct a pay equity analysis and ensure that the optimizations necessary for improving your HR and payroll accounting processes are implemented.
  • Review of the analysis: Would you like to have your analysis checked by an independent, trustworthy partner? For companies with more than 100 employees, this verification is required by law.
  • Voluntary certification: External certification provides you with a certificate confirming that you embrace equal pay in your company and that you will remain true to this concept. This formal certification is open to Swiss and foreign companies with more than 50 employees.
