A great many Swiss companies hold vast amounts of data, however only a small number of them actually gain much added value through targeted data analytics. At the new Insights Center at KPMG Switzerland, companies will experience a new dimension of data visualization and analysis and gain a new understanding of just how important it is to systematically exploit the data already available in their own companies.
With digitalization on the rise, the spotlight is shifting to the targeted processing of large volumes of data (big data). This generates added value that is becoming increasingly vital to companies’ future success. While big data is helping companies tap new areas of application at an increasingly fast pace, so far, the companies have left these areas largely untouched. The question of how to deal with these large volumes of data is also presenting Swiss companies with yet another challenge, namely that of how to separate the wheat from the chaff. Only then will they be able to leverage big data to draw the right conclusions.
KPMG will be opening its Swiss Insights Center in Zurich’s Binz neighborhood on 1 October 2018. This innovative center offers businesses an entirely new way of visualizing and analyzing data. At the Insights Center, a blend of state-of-the-art technology, predictive analytics and sound expertise lets companies look into the future! There, they discover not only new correlations and unimagined opportunities but also looming threats.
Interactive touchscreen walls visualize corporate data and bring it to life, offering virtually limitless analytical possibilities. With the help of fast-prototyping techniques, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence, KPMG’s industry specialists work together with the companies to perform tailored data analyses.
The Insights Center will change how companies approach big data in the future. They can incorporate their own company data into live demonstrations, including everything from analytics showcases to facilitated workshops, and bring it to life in the process. The demonstrations create an interactive working environment that offers space for innovative ideas and creative insights. These insights then help companies with their decision making at every level of the business.
The Data & Analytics team at KPMG Switzerland is part of a global network of experts comprising over 4,300 data and analytics specialists from 155 countries. This interconnectedness is what makes it possible for internationally supported solutions to be developed in the Insights Center for each and every industry. KPMG has additional Insights Centers located in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Madrid, Milan, Melbourne, New York, Paris, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Vancouver.
