Summer vacation has already begun in most Swiss cantons and many people are looking forward to travelling abroad again. But let's not forget that there are many amazing travel destinations right on our doorstep here in Switzerland. Many Swiss people will stay on home turf for their summer vacation again this year. Are there any spots (museums, cinemas, art galleries or local beauty spots) in Vaduz you would recommend?

There are plenty of museums to visit in Vaduz, such as the Kunstmuseum and the National Museum. To see the city sights, hop on the tourist train around Vaduz. In August there is an open-air Cinema in Schaan. I would also recommend visiting Vaduz Castle. The castle can be visited only from the outside, because the Princely Couple still resides there.

The Sass Trail is great If you are hiking with kids. You could also try the Fürstin-Gina-Weg for the beautiful views and unspoiled countryside it offers: www.malbun.li, www.tourismus.li

On hot summer days: Which public swimming pool, lake or river do the locals go to when they want to cool down or go for a swim in Vaduz or the surrounding area?

The classic place to relax and swim is the Vaduz outdoor swimming pool – the Schwimmbad Mühleholz which has a slide, children’s play pool and unbelievable views. If you prefer swimming in natural waters, you can also visit the Badesee Grossabünt in Gamprin, where there is a natural pool and splash area for children.
