The KPMG Legal, Tax and Deal Advisory teams in Switzerland and Finland have advised Oras Oy in the acquisition of a majority stake in Amphiro AG.
Swiss-based Amphiro AG was established in 2009 as an ETH spin-off that has established itself in the field of water and energy consumption, in particular through the development of new technologies which enable individuals to keep track of their personal resource use. Their first product, the smart shower meter, proved to be the world’s most powerful feedback technology saving 645kWh per household and year.
Oras Oy is based in Rauma, Finland, and has many years of experience in the development of high-quality design products providing user-friendly technical solutions that contribute to savings of water and energy. As market leader in the Nordics Oras Oy has introduced the first touchless electronic faucets and has grown to become one of Europe’s most successful providers of sanitary fittings.
