The digital transformation is leading to fundamentally changed demands towards the public sector. KPMG, together with ZHAW has created a study on the future of the public sector in light of digitalization.
New markets are created and existing market structures are destroyed. What does this development mean for the public sector? Which aspects of digitalization are currently the focus of the government? How can the public sector deal with the changes brought about by digitalization? Administrations are characterized by pronounced risk aversion. So are they equipped to carry out their tasks under specific social, legal and political conditions?
Administration 4.0 is more than just providing services more efficiently and customer-oriented with the help of information and communication technologies. Existing business models need to be scrutinized with the aim of providing services in a more transparent, open and connected manner.
