Johannes leads our Swiss Valuation and Financial Modelling practice and is KPMG’s Head of Valuation for the region Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMA). Our independent valuation and modelling services help organizations in creating, unlocking, protecting or understanding value.
He is performing valuations of businesses as well as intangible assets / intellectual property, in the context of sell side and buy side M&A mandates, for joint ventures, in restructuring cases or for dispute resolutions (litigations or international arbitrations) for nearly 20 years. He regularly provides fairness opinions and other independent valuation services. He advises his clients on value management topics, such as portfolio analysis or value based controlling systems. Valuations for financial reporting (IFRS and US GAAP) and for international tax planning is also a key area of his expertise. His experience includes the development and review of complex financial models for transactions, financing, restructuring and strategic business decisions.
Johannes leads both domestic and cross-border engagements for a variety of clients and sectors such as diversified industrials, life science, consumer goods, retail, banking, insurance, energy and natural resources, technology, software & electronics, logistics & transportation. He joined KPMG Corporate Finance in Munich in 2001, spent two years with KPMG’s Valuation Services practice in New York, and, since 2008, is based in Zurich.
