Silvan Jurt is a Swiss Certified Accountant and has long-standing and varied experience in carrying out auditing and advisory services for companies of all sizes and in a number of industries.
Silvan joined KPMG in 2005, after studying business management at the University of Zurich. After completing his training as certified accountant, he spent a year in Sydney working for KPMG Australia followed by several months at KMPG US in New York, before returning to Switzerland.
Silvan has focused on various aspects of financial reporting and is well-informed about the financial reporting standards (Swiss GAAP FER, IFRS, CO) as well as different forms of reporting of non-financial services of a company (ESG / sustainability). He led the KPMG sustainability team from 2011-2014, and from 2015 till 2019, he acted as co-leader of KPMG’s Accounting Advisory Services team. Today, Silvan is Head of Power & Utilities at KPMG and advises numerous companies in this sector on various topics, such as changes of legal form, digitalization & cyber risk or the implementation of new accounting standards.
