Before joining KPMG, Alberto advised as director of an advisory firm major financial institutions as well as institutions in the health and industry sectors on complex data protection and privacy questions. Prior to that, Alberto worked for more than 16 years as director in the legal department of a Swiss global bank, where he acted as Head of Data Management, Data Protection and Privacy for the last 8 years. This position also included records management and banking secrecy. Furthermore, he headed the outsourcing and offshoring legal department. Before that, he headed the legal IT contract department, where he was responsible for global IT outsourcing, software and maintenance contracts and advising on IT systems.

Alberto has more than 20 years of professional experience as a lawyer and manager, predominantly in the areas of data protection, bank client confidentiality, official and professional secrecy, records management, outsourcing, offshoring, transfer and disclosure of information and contract drafting & negotiation. Alberto is a highly experienced subject matter expert in analyzing complex legal matters, including the set-up of efficient and practical solutions.
