New leader will focus on helping companies optimize and transform while mitigating risk
KPMG in Canada is pleased to announce that Stephanie Terrill has been named our national leader of management consulting. Ms. Terrill was previously national and global leader of the firm's Financial Management Advisory Services practice.
"C-suite leaders are reinventing their organizations for the digital age and are looking to consulting firms to help them harness the power of new and emerging technologies by engaging key stakeholder groups and mitigating risk" says Benjie Thomas, Canadian Managing Partner for Advisory Services, KPMG. "Stephanie has a proven track record of providing strategic counsel to decision-makers and successfully implementing their strategies to establish growth platforms and optimize operating models for her clients. She and her team will be key to helping companies transform their business by leveraging new technologies and strategies to create an organization that's innovative, customer centric, inclusive, driven to succeed and withstand the unexpected."
Ms. Terrill, CPA, CA, has a wide range of strategic executive leadership advisory experience, including mergers and acquisitions, deal integration, cost optimization, process improvement, digitizing finance functions, change management, and complex large-scale digital transformations. She has been with KPMG for nearly 20 years, starting her career on Bay Street before working in multiple offices across Canada and the globe, including Australia. She also held a senior leadership role inside a large international life insurance and fund management company, and ran her own consulting business. Most recently, she was based in Calgary, where she worked closely with some of the country's largest energy companies on digital transformation. Ms. Terrill has been a member of the KPMG in Canada Board of Directors since 2016.
"In this era of disruption, we can't afford to stand still," says Ms. Terrill. "To stay relevant, be resilient, and win market share, Canadian companies must rethink both how they operate and engage with their customers, alliance partners, supply chain, and employees. Technology can only serve as a platform for growth if implemented in strategic alignment with the organization's purpose, values, and ethos."
Ms. Terrill is based in Toronto.
